With our move 5 weeks away, meal planning this week went back to basics – meals that we eat regularly and enjoy with a minimum of fuss (and that I can shop for online and pick up).
A few years ago, meal planning felt like one of those things that other, more together people did. You know, those people who still managed to brush their hair everyday even with a newborn and didn’t stay in their sweaty workout clothes all day. Slowly, I developed both a system that worked for me and the habit of using it. Now it’s an automatic part of my week. Planning my meals on Sunday and doing my grocery shopping for the week frees up my evenings for quality time with my family.
On My Table
Grilled pork tenderloin, Parmesan couscous & balsamic green beans
Portuguese Kielbasa Soup & soda bread
Leftover pork sandwiches with spicy slaw
Sirloin Steak, green salad & crispy fingerling potatoes
Saving Time
Meal planning doesn’t just save time in the evenings. When I’m wondering how I’m going to fit all of my to dos into my day Walmart Grocery Pick up is one of the tools that keeps my family eating well.
